Cromos
My inspiration can come from literature, a trip, music —everything enriches my perspective, and what floats in my subconscious returns to the paintings transformed into image. Like in Puente en Rishikesh, where a figure with a turban emerges from a memory of that trip to India, or in Chavela, whom I imagine exhaling tobacco smoke in the form of yellow circles (she slips through the brush while her raspy voice plays in my studio).

I trust the process with its doubts, accidents, and rejections. I rely on improvisation, with the heat of the moment and the rhythm unique to the practice, to outline these imaginary stories where unknown characters come to remind me of my experience as a painter.
